The control panel is on the front of the printer’s body with various buttons and icons to operate the machine like turning it on and off, stopping the current operation, starting a print job, and displaying the home screen.

With Epson L565, you can print many pages via a wired or wireless connection. The printer comes with a USB cable that supports USB 2.0. As for the wireless connection, the printer can be connected to your devices via a Wi-Fi network or Wi-Fi Direct.

The wireless connectivity of Epson L565 is further enhanced with Epson Connect, a free online service for people who owns compatible Epson printers.

Being an ecotank printer, Epson L565 has an ink supply system in form of a dedicated tank which contains four smaller tanks to store the inks separately according to their colors. Epson L565 also has a paper tray on the rear with a capacity of 100 sheets of papers in various sizes. As for envelopes, the tray can hold up to 10 envelopes with the help of the edge guides.

Epson L565 is equipped with an automatic document feeder with a capacity of 30 sheets of paper in A4 or Letter size, or 10 sheets of paper in Legal size. However, papers with certain conditions should never be loaded into the feeder even though they meet the size requirements, such as papers that are torn, curled, cut irregularly, and held together with paper clips. If the original documents are in such conditions, you should use the scanner glass instead to scan those documents.

The scanner relies on an array of sensors to capture the information printed on the originals and save it as a digital file on your computer. Its maximum optical resolution and output resolution are 1200 dpi and 9600 x 9600 dpi, respectively. The machine uses the software interpolation method to produce outputs with higher resolutions than the ones supported by the hardware.

Being a multifunction printer, Epson L565 has more components than a single function printer, so its weight is rather heavy at around 6,2 kg.
