Individual Ink System

Tri-color cartridges are the type of cartridges that many consumers dislike. The reason is a whole cartridge can turn into waste as soon as one of the three colors runs out. Due to the unreasonably high prices of the original ink cartridges, budget-minded users do not want even the slightest risk of wasting a drop of ink.

Fortunately, users of the Canon MG6270 won’t have to deal with such risk because every cartridge it uses is an individual ink cartridge. The total number of cartridges the printer can hold is six ink cartridges.

Two of the six cartridges are black inks. Yet, even though they are of the same color, they are different from each other because one is a pigment based while the other is a dye based ink.

Direct Printing

You can connect a PictBridge digital camera to the MG6270 and then print any photo you want directly from the device. This is possible because not only the printer supports PictBridge but also has a large LCD screen to browse, view, and select photos easily.

If you have some photos or documents stored on a memory card, you can also connect it to the printer and print any of them without using a PC.

Duplex Copying and Printing

You can use any home printer to print on both sides of paper, but flipping each page manually can easily become a chore if you have a large print job. With the Canon MG6270, you can simply enable the duplex printing mode to have the machine prints two-sided pages automatically. And what’s more, not only it supports duplex printing but also duplex copying.

Double Paper Feeders

Having two paper feeders is better than one paper feeder even if the latter has exactly the same total capacity as that of the former, especially if you often print on different paper types or sizes.

For example, you can load some photo papers on one feeder while loading a stack of plain paper on the other. This way you can switch between printing photos and documents without unloading and reloading the main feeder too often.
