The single function Epson C90 is certainly not the most sophisticated inkjet printer, but it is a reasonable choice for everyday use. The printer is a basic unit without bells and whistles, so it is reasonably cheap.
With four ink colors, the inkjet printer can print mono and color pages. Print quality and speed aren’t stellar but are adequate for its target market. There is no LCD panel to help with the printing but it is still easy to use.
Features and Highlights
The Epson C90’s physical size is as wide as 435 mm and as deep as 219 mm, which is quite bulky for a desktop printer. It weighs less than 3 kg, though, so anyone should find it easy to move the printer into place.
The Epson C90’s print speed is rated at 25 pages per minute for black printing, 12 pages per minute for color printing, and approximately 89 seconds for a single 10×15-cm photo in draft quality mode. These numbers look quite impressive for a printer this cheap, but it is very likely that the actual print speed is slower because Epson uses a memo document containing a few text for the print speed test. If you print a page containing a larger amount of text, print speed will drop, and more so if the page also contains some graphics elements.
Every time the Epson C90 prints a page, it draws the required ink from the cartridges until the whole page is printed out. There are four of them, each is replaceable either with a standard or a low cost cartridge which you can choose based on your printing needs.
When there are dozens of documents that you need to print, you can stack up to 80 sheets of A4 plain papers in the input tray. Its paper capacity is lower than many other low-end single function printers. However, as a basic printer designed for low volume printing needs, the Epson C90’s paper capacity is adequate. Just keep in mind to ensure that the cartridges still have enough ink to complete the next print job.
Regarding its print quality, the printer supports up to 5760 dpi resolution. There are 90 nozzles to eject black ink drops, while the other ink colors are handled by 29 nozzles each. Each nozzle is designed to eject microscopic ink drops as accurate as possible onto the paper. The sizes of ink drops are especially important when the printer is used to print a photo that has a lot of details.
As for connection, a single USB 2.0 port is all it has. There is no network support, which further confirms that the Epson C90 is indeed a basic printer optimized for personal use only.

Epson backs the C90 single function printer with a one-year warranty, which can be extended with an additional two-year warranty if the standard offer isn’t good enough to ease your mind yet.
All things considered, the Epson C90 is a good fit for low-volume use as long as print speed is not the main concern. You can click the link below to download Epson C90 Driver for Windows:
