What makes the Brother MFC-J4510DW a little special is the way it prints pages. While many other printers print in portrait orientation, it prints pages in landscape mode. Not only this method reduces the printer’s footprint, it should be able to help the printer to print faster.

Features and Highlights

The top of the printer is flat, but it actually hides an automatic document feeder that is only visible after you open the cover. The feeder can only hold up to 20 sheets of legal paper and doesn’t support duplex printing. The main tray is a 150-sheet feeder which pulls out of the bottom. It can only handle up to A4 size, but it is capable of duplex printing. Standard and high capacity ink cartridges are available for use, which you can install by opening the right cover on the front side of the printer. The extra high yield (XXL) series produce about 1200 pages each. As for the ones that come with the printer, they contain less ink than a refill pack.

To the left side of the control panel is where the printer houses a USB port and card slots, hidden by a flip-down cover. The control panel includes a 3.7-inch touch-screen monitor and virtual buttons that only light up when it is necessary.

Both wired and wireless printing are supported, but the required cable to make the connection isn’t included in the box. Regardless of which connection you choose to use, both are easy to set up.
