In order to present an inkjet solution capable of rivaling a laser printer, Epson created a machine that may look a bit unconventional named Epson B-310N, which is fairly big partly because of the paper trays and cartridges.

With a large ink volume, as well as a high duty cycle, the Epson B-310N can churn out thousands of printouts between cartridge replacements. The high paper capacity also helps minimize downtime.

Features and Highlights

Epson B-310N

The flip-down panel on the top left of the printer, which has the darkest color than the other parts, is where the ink cartridges are stored. Immediately after it is opened, you will see four slots, each holds one ink cartridge.

The standard capacity of a single black cartridge is worth about 3,000 black pages, while each of the other colors holds ink for 3,500 color pages. The Epson B-310N only uses pigment ink.

Inkjet printers can usually print photo at better quality than laser printers, but the use of ink has its own shortcoming. It clogs the nozzles over time, so inkjet printers require nozzle cleaning from time to time. Fortunately, Epson comes up with a smart solution which eliminates the need to perform the maintenance manually. It employs some sort of cleaning mechanism that runs automatically to ensure that the print head can always produce high quality output.

The ink volume is not the only thing that facilitates low to moderate volume printing. The total paper capacity is 650 sheets of plain papers, split between the 500-sheet front paper cassette and the 150-sheet rear feeder that flips up on the top of the printer.

The rear feeder can also be used to load up to 15 envelopes. However, print quality may decline when you print a stack of envelopes. If this happens, you may have to load only one envelope into the rear feeder and then print it again to see if the print quality improves.

The output tray is also on the front of the printer. It has an extension tray and a flap to hold the printouts in place, and it has a capacity of 170 sheets of plain papers.

The Epson B-310N has one prominent drawback for an office printer. It lacks a duplex unit, so offices that often deal with double-sided pages should not use this printer. If you want an almost identical printer to the Epson B-310N but with a duplex unit, the Epson B510DN may fit your printing needs better.

There aren’t many inkjet printers with paper handling that can hold up to 500 sheets in a single tray. Even better is the print speed. In every minute of printing, up to 37 pages exit the printer to the 170-sheet output tray.

Low print cost per page is probably the most interesting aspect of the printer for many people as it costs only about 6 cents per color page. Not only the Epson B-310N is quick to print, it is also cheap to run. You can click the link below to download Epson B-310N Driver for Windows:
