Unlike most printers, the Brother MFC-J6920DW stores and feeds paper sideways. It’s an interesting feature, but not the most crucial one. The print speed and quality, as well as paper capacity, are arguably more important.

The Brother MFC-J6920DW is a part of Business Smart Pro series which offer more capabilities than the Business Smart series. If you need a printer that can handle tabloid-size papers, this one is definitely one of the good choices available in the market.

Features and Highlights

Brother MFC-J6920DW

An automatic document feeder (ADF) that supports automatic duplex scanning is a time-saving feature for offices that regularly scan two-sided pages, and the Brother MFC-J6920DW provides this particular feature for everyone. Better yet, the printing mechanism also supports the same feature.

The ADF comes with a capacity that lets you load 50 sheets of paper into the tray. And whether you need to scan single-sided or double-sided documents, the touch screen on the control panel makes short work of the tasks.

There are two paper trays, each offers a room for 250 sheets of paper. A multipurpose tray is also available. Although it only holds 1 sheet at a time, it can be helpful in certain scenarios, like printing on a different type and size of a paper without emptying and reconfiguring any of the main trays.

Ink capacity is worth 600 pages, and you will be able to print and copy up to 2,400 black pages and 1,200 color pages if you replace the high-yield ink cartridges with the larger version once you’ve used them up. These cartridges are more expensive, but they are worth it if you print a lot.

The four ink cartridges are housed in a pull-down cover on the front right side of the chassis. A similar cover can also be found on the front left side. If you open it, you will find sockets for PictBridge, thumb drive, and SD cards.

Of all the connectivity options that are available, Near Field Communication (NFC) is arguably the easiest way to establish a connection to the printer. All it takes is just tapping the NFC compatible device to the NFC area of the printer to connect the two.

In addition to NFC, the Brother MFC-J6920DW also supports Wi-Fi Direct, which also uses peer-to-peer protocol that doesn’t require a router. Once the devices are connected to each other, you can print from and scan to your mobile device.

Both NFC and Wi-Fi Direct are certainly convenient, but they wouldn’t be that helpful if the print speed is too slow. Fortunately, though quality is a bit of a mixed bag, at least the speed is sufficient for medium-volume small offices. For those who require faster printers, they should look elsewhere.

Not only the Brother MFC-J6920DW is a solid performer, it is also an admirable device loaded with decent features that make short work of printing, scanning, copying, and faxing chores in small offices. With so many connectivity options available, it becomes one of the most convenient printers to use. You can click the link below to download Brother MFC-J6920DW Driver for Windows:
