Epson UltraChrome HD

It is mainly thanks to the ink technology that combines multiple black colors that the Epson SC-P607 is able to produce a superior black density. The pigment-based Epson UltraChrome HD is further enhanced by the Variable Sized Droplet Technology.

The photo printer uses nine colors of ink, but only eight of them are used to print photos. The reason is because two of the inks are Matte Black and Photo Black. Each of them is optimized for specific paper types. The printer decides which black ink should be used for printing after it detects the media type that you select.

Epson Layout Manager

The Epson SC-P607 has the ability to print multiple pages onto a single sheet of paper. Whether the pages created by the same or different programs, or whether the pages are saved in the same or different file formats, you can drag and drop them into the Epson Layout Manager’s document area.

What’s more, the size and orientation of each page that you place into the document area can be independently adjusted. Your custom layout arrangement can also be saved if you expect to make copies in the near future.

Flexible Connectivity Options

Printing files doesn’t solely depend on a PC, thanks to the SC-P607’s wireless n1 connection support that allows your tablet, smartphone, and other compatible wireless devices to connect to the printer over a Wi-Fi network.

And better yet, Wi-Fi Direct is supported as well. This means you can connect a mobile device to the printer without any middleman.

Even if you are miles away from your printer, you can still print your files with it over an internet connection, but only after you set up the printer to use Epson Connect. Two of the tools included in the service are necessary for remote printing, but both of them, as well as the rest of the tools, require you to create an account first.

The two tools are Remote Print Driver and Email Print. You can choose to use one of them or both. The former is used to control your printer remotely, and the latter facilitates remote printing by means of an email address.
