Plenty of people need a multifunction printer, and Epson provides many of such device. Of all the ones the company has made is the Epson TX110. It’s a four-color unit with a flatbed scanner mounted on the top, which is good enough for light scanning and copying needs.
Instead of using dye-based ink, the TX110 uses only DURABrite Ultra ink, which is a pigment ink. There are four ink cartridges, each of which is available in two versions: low and standard capacities. The former has a page yield of 170 black pages or 210 color pages, while the latter offers a page yield of 255 black pages or 395 color pages.
Features and Highlights
Paper Handling
Instead of a paper drawer at the front, the Epson TX110 comes with an input tray at the rear. If you use plain paper for either printing or copying, you can stack one hundred sheets in the tray.
The 1200dpi flatbed scanner, on the other hand, is much more limited in terms of paper capacity because it has no automatic document feeder, but it can take various sizes of paper just as with the main input tray, with A4 being the largest one it can handle.
Performance
The Epson TX110 offers a good print speed, but printing double-sided pages would be a hassle because auto duplex is not supported. A rated speed of thirty monochrome pages per minute is a respectable speed for printing at home. For the color printing, however, it takes double the time to finish printing the same amount of pages.
If you use the flatbed scanner to scan, it can do so at the rated speed of four milliseconds per line for monochrome pages and twelve milliseconds per line for color pages.
Its copy speed is approximately three seconds for black pages and twelve seconds for color pages.
Why You Need Epson TX110 Resetter
Many companies have been accused of planned obsolecence. Epson is unfortunately one of them. The company allegedly hard-coded end of life in its lineup of printers, which include the Epson TX110. When the nominal end of life is reached, the code prompts a message saying that users need to contact Epson to find a solution for the issue caused by ink pads.
The proposed solution, however, may be enough to send some users into rage because it seems like the company cares more about how to make more profits out of the situation rather than genuinely helping. Many users, therefore, are looking for an alternative solution, a reasonable one, and this is where Epson TX110 Resetter shows what it can do.
