The Epson L810 is an inkjet printer that uses an ink system called EcoTank, aimed at consumers who always try to find ways to reduce printing cost even if that means they have to resort to ink products made by third-party companies.
EcoTank system is powered by the same inkjet technology, but the way it works allows the ink cost to be lower than that of a printer using ink cartridges. This is one of the main reasons why the Epson L810 is considered a highly attractive option for printing.
Features and Highlights
The ink tank container is attached to the right of its body and houses six tanks of dye-based ink. It can contain high-volume 140ml and 70ml ink tanks. Each tank contains different color of ink (black, cyan, yellow, light cyan, light magenta, and magenta colors).
Each tank is transparent, allowing users to see the ink inside it with the naked eye. However, it would have been easier for users to check the ink status if the container were to be located at the front. As for the ink volume, the starter ink packages that come with the printer provides enough ink to print up to twelve thousand monochrome pages and 6500 color pages.
The best advantage of these ink tanks is that each of them is refillable. However, users need to put a little more effort into doing it. There are at least ten steps that users have to go through to refill a tank, which starts from entering the Setup mode to hooking the ink tank container onto the printer.
Epson claims that the Epson L810 can print up to five monochrome pages per minute or 4,8 color pages per minute on 75gsm plain paper according to ISO standard. Each color is ejected from ninety nozzles in the form of microscopic ink droplets that can be as small as 1,5 picoliter.
Printing in draft mode allows the printer to finish a print job faster at the expense of print quality. To print a photo at the highest quality possible, the Epson L810 offers a print resolution of up to 5760 x 1440 dpi. The result is impressive, but users need to wait longer for a photo print to exit the printer.
The Epson L810 can be operated from either a computer or its color display, which is located at the front. It facilitates direct printing from a memory card or digital camera. The ports to connect the two devices to the printer is positioned above the output tray.

The way the printer refills each ink tank is not as straightforward as some newer models, but at least users can still enjoy the cost saving of printing. Considering how much money users can save in the long run, its upfront price, which is higher than that of a cartridge-based printer in general, is worth every penny.
In conclusion, the Epson L810 is a versatile cost-effective inkjet printer for everyday printing needs. You can click the link below to download Epson L810 Driver for Windows:
