Meet the Epson L5290, a 4-in-1 device with an automatic document feeder (ADF) aimed at small offices with low to moderate printing needs. It offers lower running costs than a comparable cartridge-based model, thanks to its refillable ink tanks.

Paper capacity is on the average side for a printer designed to keep up with the business environment, but the print speed and connectivity options, in addition to the low ink costs, more than make up for it. With built-in support for Apple AirPrint, Mopria Print Service, and Epson Connect, which are all part of the connectivity options, users can easily print wirelessly from virtually any compatible device.

Features and Highlights

Epson L5290

No More Ink Cartridges

The Epson L5290 is an EcoTank printer with front-facing four ink tanks, all of which are the same size, unlike some models that offer a larger tank for black ink. They are placed next to the output tray and easy to open for refilling. Each tank has a spill-free cap to make sure that not a single drop of ink is wasted when refilling.

Batch Scanning Made Easier

When you only need to scan one or two pages, or scan delicate media, you can use the flatbed scanner. If you scan in batches, the Epson L5290’s ADF lets you load up to 30 sheets of paper, then it feeds them one by one automatically into the printer for scanning.

It won’t stop scanning until every sheet is scanned. When it’s done, and if you still have more pages to scan, you can load them into the tray and start scanning again. The ADF doesn’t support duplexing, though, so you’ll need to flip the sheets manually if you want to scan the other side.

Printing from Multiple Devices

When you are in the same room as the printer, you can use the computer connected to it by USB to print pages. Printing can also be done wirelessly over the Wi-Fi network. This means you can also print from your laptop, tablet, and smartphone using Epson iPrint, Apple AirPrint, or Mopria Print Service.

Print Over the Internet

If you are somewhere far away from the printer, you can send print jobs via the internet using Remote Print Driver or Epson Email Print. Each has its own advantages. The first option gives you more control over settings, while the second one allows you to send documents by email for quick and easy printing without installing anything.

The best feature of Epson L5290’s is its ink tank system that helps you save more on printing than traditional cartridges. Other features that make the printer worth the price include ADF, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct support, remote printing, Scan to Cloud, print speed, 1.44-inch color LCD panel, borderless printing, and faxing with page memory up to 100 pages.

The compact 4-in-1 printer includes a software driver you’ll need to install if you want to print from Microsoft Word, Excel, text editors, and any other desktop applications that support printing. You can click the link below to download Epson L5290 Driver for Windows:
