Beating up ninjas or trained assassins to pass your free time sounds like an exciting idea. The best part is you don’t need to go to a mountain to go through a secluded martial art training for years to do that. You can even do it while lying down on your bed. The game is the sequel to Shadow Fight. Unlike the first title which was developed only by Nekki, the second installment was developed by Banzai Games and Nekki.

Features and Highlights

The first installment in the fighting game series was published in 2011, while the sequel was published in 2014. Both are highly entertaining games, but the way the freemium model is done is probably enough to put off many gamers.

Storyline

The main character is a strong combatant who opened the Gates of Shadows, which turned to be a huge mistake as it set the Demons free and turned himself into a shadow.

Players must defeat all the demons either with bare hands or weapons such as knives, knuckles, ninja swords, steel batons, machetes, sai, and daggers. Ranged weapons are available too, which will be unlocked after Lynx, one of the demon bosses, is defeated.

To be precise, Lynx is the first of the six demon bosses that players will encounter in the Shadow Fight 2. He is protected by five bodyguards, so players must eliminated them to be able to fight Lynx.

Gameplay

There are seven Acts in total, each of which is full of demons. Players must conquered every Act. As the game progresses, new weapons, skills and levels are unlocked, and players also get money to upgrade weapons and armors.

Coins or gems can be used to buy upgrades, but it takes time to complete a game. Sometimes it takes a few seconds, sometimes even five minutes.

Players are free to choose whatever weapons they like to combat the demons, but each one of them has pros and cons that players must put into consideration before picking any to fight a certain demon.

Shadow Fight 2 features a number of modes of play in addition to the main story. Survival is the mode available in the first Act as soon as the sixth stage of the Tournament mode is completed by players.

The challenging part of the mode is that players must defeat several demons consecutively. Players must repeat from the first round should they fail in any round.
