Listening to music is probably the easiest way to entertain ourselves. Today we have many music streaming services that compete with each other to provide tons of song titles at our fingertips. Spotify is among the top ranks of such services.
Spotify has millions of tracks, audiobooks, and podcasts. Its capped streaming quality is more generous than that of Pandora and Amazon Music, and it is available for a variety of platforms, including Android.
Features and Highlights
Spotify requires internet connection for streaming music. After it is installed, every new user must create a free Spotify account either by registering an email address or connecting an existing Google or Facebook account to the streaming service.
Easy to Use
After registration, you will be asked to choose at least three singers, and then you can start listening to their songs immediately.
If you open another app, the music will still play in the background, allowing you to browse your social media timeline or browsing the web while listening to music on your Android phone.
It has a search functionality to find a specific song title or artist. A click on a search result will either play the song or bring you to a page featuring the artist.
Every song can also be added into a custom playlist or the Liked Songs section so that you can directly play the tracks again.
When you play a track, the music player appears at the bottom of the app and stays visible even if you browse through the music library.
Premium and Free
Spotify is a freemium app. Its free subscription offers basic features, which can be upgraded to paid subscription to get the premium ones.
One of the limitations that free users have to put up with is the fact that you cannot even play a playlist in repeat mode. Once the player finishes playing the last track in the playlist, Spotify will play another song that you may have never heard before.
It is not surprising, therefore, that there are users infuriated with it because that feature is available in every music player for free. It should have been a free feature, not a paid one.
Loudness Normalization
Spotify normalizes the volume of every track by default. It can be disabled by users, which should not be done if you want every track to play at the same level of volume.
There are over 100 million tracks in Spotify and some tracks are bound to be louder or quieter than others. This normalization feature exists solely to tackle the issue.
Spotify MOD APK Free Download
Spotify can be set to offline mode, but only music and podcasts that you’ve already downloaded can be played when it is enabled.
Other options include applying crossfade effect to tracks, removing gaps between tracks for seamless playback, enabling the mono audio mode, and allowing Spotify to play similar content to the ones you’ve been listening to once the playlist ends.
