Prizefighters 2 is a retro-themed boxing game. It is also the second installment in the Prizefighters series that comes with an improved career mode.

Features and Highlights

Prizefighters 2 has a tutorial mode for new users. Before you start your boxing career, you may want to play the tutorial first to get familiar with the controls.

Controls

There are three ways to control your character in the game.

Default is a mode that shows visual buttons on the screen. The navigational buttons are on the left, the attack and defense buttons are on the right.

The left and right buttons of the navigational control are used to dodge punches from the opponent, while the up and down buttons are used to move forward and backward.

Classic Controls is the second mode that uses touch and swipe gestures to control the player’s movement.

Bluetooth Gamepad is the only mode in the game that lets you control the player by using a gamepad.

Power Punch

You can keep hitting the opponent to build momentum, and once the momentum is filled, you can throw a power punch by holding any attack button. The momentum bar is displayed below the health bar.

Career Mode

There are three options in this mode.

Road to Victory is for players who love the excitements of throwing punches in the ring and strive to become a great champion.

Boxing Gym Manager is the game mode where you strive to make your gym to be the best in the league.

Be The Promoter is another mode in which everyone can enjoy boxing without being a fighter themselves.

Training

The game provides a set of training exercises to improve the fighter’s physical condition, but only two of them are free. They are Rest and Road Work.

The other training options come at a cost. Some of them cost 25 coins each, while the others cost 20 coins each. If you don’t have coins, then you can only perform the free ones.

Double End Bag, Striking Mitts, Heavy Bag, Shadow Boxing, Jump Squats, and Angled Heavy Bag belong to the former group, while Bench Press, Jump Rope, Speed Bag, Medicine Ball, Slip Bag, Simulated Sparring are included in the latter group.

You are free to choose which exercises that you wish to be included in your training regimen, but make sure to choose the ones that can significantly improve your stats as a boxer.
