The Epson R240 offers the convenience of printing lab-quality photos from your PC, digital camera, and memory card. The company that makes the printer claims that it is an economical photo printer.
Unlike some photo printers you may have seen before, this one only relies on four ink cartridges to print photos and documents. On the upside, this means you can spend less money on the replacement ink cartridges.
Features and Highlights
Print Technology
The Epson R240 uses Micro Piezo printhead that has more than three hundred nozzles in total. It is also powered by Variable Sized Droplet Technology to control the size of each ink droplet. Thanks to this advanced technology, the smallest size of droplet that the printhead can eject onto the paper is two picoliters.
The entry level printer has a passable print speed in printing documents. In more or less one minute, it can eject approximately nineteen monochrome pages or eighteen color pages, which are slightly slower than the Epson R245.
If it is used to print photos, it takes around 47 seconds to produce a single 10x15cm photo, 118 seconds for a 13x18cm photo, and 146 seconds for an A4 photo.
Direct Printing from External Devices
One of its major attractions is the capability to print without PC. The USB port at the front can be used to connect a digital camera to the printer, on condition that the camera supports PictBridge.
The cartridge-based printer also has four slots to read memory cards. This added convenience makes it much easier for users to print photos quickly. After inserting a memory card, you can view the photos on the 1.5-inch color LCD screen, select one or more photos, and print them out.
Paper Handling
The R240 can print on a large variety of paper and can take up to 100 A4 sheets of plain paper, 80 sheets of Photo Quality Inkjet Paper, or fifteen envelopes. In short, the capacity depends on the type of paper, but the printer won’t be able to print on paper larger than A4 size.
Why You Need Epson R240 Resetter
The fact that the R240 won’t be able to function properly if the ink pads are full is a piece of information that most users is unaware of until they see that error message suddenly pops out when they are about to print.
The other thing that users will soon learn about when they are trying to find a solution is that Epson doesn’t provide an easy method that can solve the issue quickly.
If you’re stuck in the same situation, this Epson R240 Resetter will give you the help you need to be able to use the printer again in approximately fifteen minutes.

The ability to reset R240’s ink pad counter is just one of the things this small utility can do. It can clean the printer’s printhead, read and save EEPROM data, and does a few other tasks, but the reason this tool can get widespread attention from printer owners around the world is that it can restore the R240 back to its normal state.
