Survivor.io is an entertaining 2D action-adventure game where you fight to survive against waves upon waves of zombies that attempt to take over the world.

Gameplay

Survivor.io has a simple gameplay. A seemingly unending horde of enemies keep trying to eliminate you since the game starts, so you need to move around the map while shooting at them and looting crystals as many as possible to earn upgrades and skills.

Enemies often dropped crystals when they are killed. The most common ones are the small green crystals, which are practically everywhere on the map. The rarest ones are the yellow crystals.

Choose Your Skills

Once you collected enough crystals, you will get a new skill. In the first chapter of the game, for example, the first set of optional skills consists of Guardian, Brick, and Kunai.

The crystals aside, you will also get golden boxes after successfully killing an elite, which will also give you more power to defeat the enemies, especially the tougher ones.

There are a good amount of skills available in the game. Every time you fill up the meter with the crystals, you will be able to pick from three skills, which are highly critical for your survival.

The skills are basically divided into two main types: skills that are designed for melee attacks (e.g, Guardian, Drones, Forcefield Device) and skills that can attack enemies from a distance (e.g, Drill Shot, RPG, Molotov).

Pick Up the Items

Aside from crystals, enemies also drop other kinds of items. HP potions can replenish your low HP, Magnets draw other items around you, Bombs eliminate all enemies nearby, and Chest can give you one or even three upgrades at once.

Don’t forget to collect coins as many as you can too as you fight the monsters. They are not as useful as other items but are helpful in the long run. These coins allow you to upgrade your equipment.

HP potions are the most useful item when your HP is critically low, but they are much fewer than the crystals, so your top priority should always be to steer clear of any damage than trying to pick up crystals at all cost.
