Silent Hill 3 – PS2 ISO & ROM (Game Download)

In 2003, a new entry of Silent Hill series was released. It is a survival horror video game with plenty of unsettling and jumpscare moments. Loved by many, it was another big hit with hundreds of thousands of copies sold. This third installment is just as scary as the first and second in the series.

Unlike the first and second installments, Silent Hill 3 features a female character, but the whole atmosphere of the game remains the same. Overall the game is as fascinating as ever, so it doesn’t come as a surprise then that the franchise is still one of the best to play.

Features and Highlights

In Silent Hill 3, the plot follows a female teenager named Heather Mason. One day she falls asleep in a burger restaurant and wakes up after her dream ends with her being killed by a roller coaster. She then encounters Douglas Cartland, a suspicious individual who claims that he knows something about her birth, but she does not believe him.

In her attempt to evade him, she finds one unsettling fact about the mall. It seems to be abandoned by people somehow. And soon she learns another fact that is much more frightening. There are scary creatures lurking around. With a gun in her hands that she finds in a clothing store, she defends herself from the creatures.

Heather encounters another suspicious individual later in the game. Her name is Claudia Wolf, a high priestess of a cult known as the Order. She says that they need her as they believe that Heather is the chosen one gifted by the ability to lead them to obtain what they desire, the so-called Paradise. The meeting leaves Heather with a painful headache.

Heather is a teenager who has to live a sorrowful life as she finds her dad dies in their home, murdered by Missionary under the command of the priestess Claudia. Driven by the thirst for revenge, Heather travels to Silent Hill.

She uses every weapon available to fight anything that stands in her way from as simple as a pipe to a beam saber. Guns can also be found in the game for Heather to use, but it is recommended to save the ammo as much as possible by relying on melee weapons. Katana, for example, is a preferable choice for strong attacks than a knife or pipe.

The most convenient weapons are submachines, especially the one that has an unlimited supply of bullets, and shotgun that allow Heather to attack monsters from a distance.

All in all, Silent Hill 3 tells a story about a teenager who becomes the victim of a religious cult, and players control her to exact revenge on those who put her in misery with whatever weapons available throughout the game. The monsters in this third installment of the series are still as scary as those in the previous ones, and they are parts of the main reasons of why Silent Hill 3 is worth the time to play for survival horror game fans.
