Guitar Hero 3 – PS2 ISO & ROM (Game Download)

It was October 2007 when Guitar Hero 3 was released and soon it followed the success of the two previous entries. As a matter of fact, the game was even more successful with its sales exceeded one billion dollars.

Unlike the previous entries which were developed by Harmonix, the company responsible for the development of Guitar Hero 3 was Neversoft. This happened after Activision acquired RedOctane. Even though it was the first time for Neversoft to develop the game, the company successfully created the most polished game in the series.

Features and Highlights

The overall gameplay of Guitar Hero 3 is the same as the previous games, which is pressing some buttons to hit the notes correctly. The Rock Meter is still there and the audience is still booing the player when the meter is red. If the player keeps missing notes, the performance meter will continue to drop. And if it keeps dropping, the player will eventually fail the song. On the opposite, if the player can hit ten notes consecutively and correctly, the player will be rewarded with a multiplier that can increase the score quickly.

Guitar Hero 3 can be played at four difficulty levels. The player only needs to pay attention to three buttons when playing the game at the easiest level. On the other hand, the medium level uses four buttons, and the hard level uses five buttons. The expert level uses all buttons just like the hard one but the note patterns is more difficult to play and there are a lot more notes.

There are 42 songs in Guitar Hero 3, split into eight tiers. An encore song becomes the final hurdle for the player to finish the current tier and move on to the next one.

Guitar Hero 3 has a Battle Mode. The participants of the battle are provided with their own Rock Meter. The objective is to win the battle which is done by making the opponent’s Rock Meter drops to the bottom. If no one loses at the end of the song, the game will start again but this time it will turn to Sudden Death mode.

During the battle, the players can take advantage of various power-ups to defeat each other. Some of the power-ups are Death Drain which drains the opponent’s Rock Meter, Difficulty Up which makes the gameplay harder, Double Notes which adds a note to each note, and Steal Power-Up which is only effective if the opponent has a power-up.

In Career mode, the player has to fight three boss characters. The first boss to appear in the game is Tom Morello. After the boss is defeated, the player and the boss will play the encore song together. The boss will then be available for purchase as soon as the encore song is completed.

Guitar Hero 3 has another surprise for the fans of the series, which is a storyline, a game aspect that doesn’t exist in the previous entries.
