Features and Highlights

Toni Cipriani is the name of the protagonist in Grand Theft Auto – Liberty City Stories. He is a Leone mobster. After four years living abroad, he returns to the city. He is told to work under Vincenzo Cilli. Although he is reluctant, he is unable to refuse it because it is an order from his boss, Salvatore Leone.

One day Vincenzo sets a trap for Toni. Fortunately, Toni can escape the ambush. The situation gets even more complicated because his own mother calls a hit for him. He survives, and afterward he chooses to stay away from her.

Vincenzo calls Toni and apologizes for what he has done. Because of the apology, Toni is willing to meet him, but it turns out that it is just another ambush. Toni fights back and kills Vincenzo as well as his his men.

The story of the game is split into several missions. The easiest mission is the early missions where you just need to do a few simple actions such as changing clothes and driving Toni’s boss to a location. Once you pass the mission, you get 100 dollars as the reward.

The mission where you have to take revenge for the murder of a drug dealer is when you finally can have some real actions to do. In this mission, you have to control Toni to go around a location and kill a group of Sindacco drug dealers with his bare hands.

As with other Grand Theft Auto series, you can also use weapons in this game. Ammu-Nation is a gun shop where you can find plenty of them. Submachine guns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, thrown weapons, and even heavy weapons such as flame-thrower. The guns include but not limited to SMG, AK, Micro SMG, Pistol, and Stubby Shotgun.

In Liberty City, there are 37 gangs in total. Five of them are major gangs while the rest are the smaller ones but should not be underestimated. The major gangs consist of Leone Family, Forelli Family, Sindacco Family, Yakuza, and Sicilian Mafia. Salvatore Leone who Toni works for is the head of the Leone Family.

As the player, you can have three safehouses in the game. Each safehouse allows you to save your progress, change your clothes, and restore your health. At the beginning of the game you only have one while the rest are available later in the game.
