Final Fantasy X – PS2 ISO & ROM (Game Download)

Final Fantasy X is set in Spira, a fictional continent terrorized by a supernatural entity called Sin. A group of brave adventurers determine to put a stop on the terror that has lasted for a thousand years. One of them is Tidus, the male protagonist who became an orphan since the day Sin attacked his hometown.

It took more than 100 people and a budget of over thirty million dollars to develop the game. There were many difficulties that the team must overcome, including the ones caused by the inclusion of voice acting. In 2001, its development was finally completed and the game was released.

Features and Highlights

Some elements of Final Fantasy X’s gameplay are the same as the previous games, such as the third-person perspective and minigames. Instead of using the Active Time Battle system, however, the game replaces it with another system called Conditional Turn-Based Battle.

Also new to the series is the Sphere Grid, a leveling system that allows the characters to unlock abilities. There are many types of spheres. The red spheres include power, mana, speed, ability, and fortune spheres. The key sphere has four levels ranging from Level 1 Key Sphere to Level 4 Key Sphere.

The purple spheres include HP, MP, evasion, accuracy, strength, luck, defense, agility, magic def, and magic. The light blue spheres include return, friend, teleport, and warp spheres. The yellow sphere include black magic, white magic, attribute, master, skill, and special spheres.

Each character in Final Fantasy X has their own unique abilities which can be executed after their overdrive bars are full. The method to fill up a bar depends on the abilities.

The male protagonist, Tidus, has Swordplay as his Overdrive which consists of four skills like Energy Rain, Spiral Cut, Blitz Ace, and Slice & Dice. Each of his friends in the group has a different Overdrive such as Yuna with her Grand Summon, Wakka with his Slots, Lulu with her Fury, and Kimahri with his Ronso Rage.

Aeons, the summons, have their own Overdrives too. Ifrit has Hellfire, Ixion has Thor’s Hammer, Shiva has Diamond Dust, Bahamut has Mega Flare, Anima has Oblivion, and Magus Sisters have Delta Attack. As for Valefor, she even has two Overdrives, namely Energy Blast and Energy Ray.

The enemy boss, Sin, has Overdrive as well, which is called Giga-Graviton. It allows the monster to execute a powerful attack in the form of an energy blast.

Final Fantasy X has seven playable characters. Yuna, a seventeen years old girl with a mission to defeat Sin, is accompanied by Tidus who becomes her guardian after they met. Together with Auron, Kimahri, Wakka, Lulu, and Rikku, they fight enemies until the mission is completed.

Wakka and Lulu are Yuna’s childhood friends. Wakka is a captain of a blitzball team and Lulu is a black mage who knows a lot about Spira.
